This is a unique opportunity to serve your community, gain professional fire service training, and join a dedicated team of career and volunteer professionals who protect lives and property in Murphys, Douglas Flat, Vallecito, and the surrounding area.
What is a Paid-For-Call Firefighter?
Paid-For-Call Firefighters respond to emergencies as needed—fire, medical, rescue, and more—while receiving compensation for their time and service. This position is ideal for community members who want to contribute to public safety without committing to a full-time firefighting career.

Firefighter Academy Completion Preferred

Valid E.M.T. and Professional Rescuer CPR and AED Preferred

Men and women at least 18 years old with a valid California driver’s license
